| what God is doing in my life
- teaching me to look at people through his eyes
- helping me learn his will and seeing how my future fits into it, teaching me to faithfully follow him
- showing me the true joy that he gives -- he's showing me this through people who are coming to know him who didn't grow up in the church. they have such a joy in learning about him, everything is so new and beautiful compared to the world.
- giving me a better grasp of how to live with hope... living with heaven and restoration in mind

| yay for birthdays
i had a really good weekend... friday night i went out to the burgundy room with a few of my friends
its this trendy wine bar in the short north
and then saturday dave took me out to cameron's for a romantic dinner
we had a fantastic meal, and then he drove me all the way to springfield and surprised me with tickets to see the trinity irish dance company! it was really cool, think riverdance with no story but cooler. they did some traditional stuff and then some really modernized things... they were crazy good.
awesome presents, fun times, couldn't ask for a better 21st birthday!

Anger does not bring about God’s redemptive work; far more often it hinders what God is working to accomplish. -Henry Blackaby thats pretty profound. well not in the sense that its new, but more like how sweet would it be if i could actually do that, or at least made a conscious effort to. i'm going to try, but ultimately only God can change that in me. if i'm thinking about it hopefully i can give it over to God in the midst of my anger. i hate being angry. seems to happen a lot this quarter. its easy to let your emotions carry you away. its better to trust in God in the midst of pain or confusion. fight the good fight p.s. henry blackaby has daily devotionals at blackaby.org |
